information re medication and re importing dog

I am going to South West sri lanka to help with a project for young people. I am trying to find out how to get my essential medication in sri lanka and if it is available easily. Does anyone have contacts in the Galle area? I am taking my pet dog with me. any advice on how to care for it in the climate? and anyone who has imported a dog through colombo who can tell me what happens on arrival. the dog will travel on the same flight as me.
