Question on Kigoma !!

Hi everybody,

I would like to know if anyone could help me out with a bit of background information regarding the general living conditions in Kigoma City, especially for people with family...?

I am particularly interested to know if it's reasonably safe (especially for my wife and kid).

The other aspect I'm interested in is the general housing situation for expats, i.e. do expats tend to live in locked-up compounds (like in Nigeria, for example) or is it ok to live in a "normal" house or apt.building...?
