Meeting new people

I am a friendly person, but my fear is that I will be lonely, alone in a new country. I have done some research (YouTube) and it does look as though there are a lot of expats living in the south of Turkey. I am looking to make contact with people before I leave, so I feel that I will be uniting with friends when I arrive. So, I guess my most burning question is about opportunities to meet people. I am single and will be relocating as a single person and I am looking for people who are willing to share their experiences with me, to help me find my feet.
