Looking for Accomodations Info

Good day All

My husband and I may be moving to Izmir from Canada for work next year and we are wondering about the best area to live? Also are there any great websites for searching available rentals? I have tried to Google a few times but most sites focus on Istanbul. We would like a bit of an out door area but I will be working in Izmir and would prefer not to commute anymore than 35 mins each way.
