Disposing Trash in Uganda

Hi there,

I'm currently living in Mbale and wondering if anyone in Uganda knows of other ways to dispose of trash besides burning it? In Mbale, we can't seem to find any landfill system or disposal system. Curious if anyone has any ideas or can help in any way!
We hate to burn it - especially plastics!
