Utahloy International School has two campuses. One in Guangzhou and one is in Zengcheng. The campus in Zengcheng has 5 stars boarding facilities and I send my elder son to Zengcheng campus, where he can focus on his studies and away from the city. My younger daughter is a day student in Guangzhou campus. She travel to school by school bus. The UIS Guangzhou campus is only 20 mins from CBD.

How would you describe the facilities at this school? What extra-curricular activities are available?

Utahloy International School is an IB World School and that's the major reason why I choose this school for my children. In UIS Zengcheng campus, they have a standard size outdoor swimming pool, absolutely huge gardens and lake, a huge high class facility boarding house, I.T. facilities, 5 covered basketball courts, two large libraries, science laboratories etc. Same with the UIS Guangzhou campus except they don't have the swimming pool in there. The school is member of the ACAMIS and MUN. It offers extra-curricular activities like soccer, tennie, table-tennis, drama, choir, basketball, mini-gym, skipping, art. They also offer 8 mother tongue languages like chinese, korean, japanese, french, german, spanish and hindi.

What has this school done to help your child transition from the curriculum in your home country into the curriculum in your new country? Are there programs to prepare your child for repatriation?

The IB progammes that Utahloy International School offering is internationally recognisable. It addresses the social, emotional, academic and physical needs of a student in a very supportive environment that prepare them for life as global citizen. Both of my children find the IB programmes challenging and much better than the national curriculum in Australia.

How would you describe the social activities available for parents through this school? Are there parent-teacher organizations?

When you enroll your kids to Utahloy, you eventuately belong to the Utahloy PTA. UPTA assist the school in organising various events and activites and provide teachers with assistance in in class activities.

What advice would you give to someone considering enrolling their child in this school?

Utahloy has a really good study environment especially with the Zengcheng campus. Both campuses have lakeside gardens. The teachers are very caring. My children enjoy their schooling in Utahloy a lot, they never have any complains about their studies, their teachers and nor the facilities. They love the school so much. Oh just to mention, Utahloy International School archieve very good IB results, and most of the time above the average of the world IB results.
