What advice would you give someone preparing to move to your area about the actual move, choosing a neighborhood and finding a home?

Do your research. Do not by, the market here is way overvalued.

What type of housing do you live in? Is this typical for most expats in your area?

Flat. Usual. Most homes are flats, or ugly row homes. Best homes are in the south, but very expensive.

How did you choose your neighborhood and find your home or apartment?

Taking the train North.

Are your housing costs higher or lower than they were in your home country? What is the average cost of housing there?

Far more expensive here. House cost about twice the price as in Boston. Food is about 30 to 40% more.
