Avoid using any languages other than Dari and Pashto in public; this could be considered rude. Be aware of appropriate dress for local customs and do not wear clothing that reveals too much skin. Being overly familiar or friendly with strangers should be avoided. Respect the privacy of households and do not enter without being invited.
