"Hi all - My husband & I are just starting to explore the possibility of buying a property in Costa Rica in anticipation of possibly living there in retirement. We currently live in South Florida (Miami area). I've only ever lived in the US, but he's lived in many other countries. I would love the group's input on the best areas to live, close to the water and in a safe location. We would likely be looking at single-family homes vs condos. We would want to live somewhere not exclusively populated by ex-pats, but rather somewhere we would have a flavor for the country. Looking forward to getting some advice!" - kaahess12
