Haitian police are investigating the slaying of a 74-year-old Canadian citizen who was working as a mango exporter.
Police say Haitian-born Arnel Gervais was shot and killed Sunday in the southern city of Les Cayes.
Les Cayes police commissioner Henriot Toussaint says a man was arrested for threatening the exporter but was in custody at the time of the shooting. No suspects have been arrested.
The Canadian Foreign Ministry says its Embassy is monitoring the case and providing assistance to the victim's family.
