QRP Documentation

Can anyone help me understand what the requirement is for the "Authentic Police Record" part of the application? In her youth, my wife had an offense 40 years ago and I wanted to make sure ancient history would not be counted against us. Is there an authority to which I might be able to discuss this specifically. Her US passport gets us into Belize as tourists for now. Retirement is still 7 years away but I want to be sure we are planning ahead.
