I recently semi-retired and am looking to live in Belize. But, I need some questions answered. If anyone could help, I would appreciate it.
1. I have under $50,000 . I have read a lot of articles how people retire, but they have a nice nest egg. I have never been able to be a high earner. would my Social Security be enough without touching much savings?
2. Would it be better to visit for 4-6 months or would a month do it?
3. I live in the US. Does everyone really sell "everything" or just what they don't think they will need?
4. What kind of Medical Insurance is available?
5. How are the banks? Are there any US based banks?
6. What does it really cost to live? i know it depends on your lifestyle.
7. How much is gas for the car?
8. How stable is the Gas and Electric? Will you come home and the power is out?
9. Same question for cable and Internet.
Any help will be appreciated. i know I have more questions, but.......
