Banking & Business

We are considering retiring to Belize possibly over the next year. We currently own a business here in the US, but all of the work is done via computer. The individuals I do the work for, direct deposit my fees into my current checking account.

Here are our concerns:
1. Can we open an account with one of the banking institutions in Belize, and are there any declarations required to the US for earned income while residing in Belize?

2. Can we organize/incorporate our business in Belize, and if so, what are the requirements?

3. Since all work is performed via the Internet, are there any rules or regulations we are required to abide by while living in Belize?

4. What if any are the reporting requirements of the banks in Belize to the IRS?

5. Is there anything that we may have missed that we should be aware of in order to abide by the laws of Belize?
