Mattresses/Locked Trailers

Hello,

In preparation for our move to Placencia in September, I have been trying to look into bringing down our foam mattress. I know things mold more quickly in Belize from clothes to leather shoes ect. Has anyone brought down a foam mattress or even purchased in Belize? I have back pain and love love love my bed. Its my happy place. Have you noticed any molding? I am curious about this b/c its so compact and dense that I imagine the moisture from the air accumulated and turns moldy. I may reconsider bringing my foam mattress altogether.

Also, I am most likely going to purchase a small trailer to bring along some of our items we can't fit in the car. I know you can pack your trailer yourself but at customs they will remove your items and that can take a while. We planned on saving space by using Space Bags so unpacking and opening all of those would really be a hassle. I know you can pay someone who will pack your trailer for you and create your inventory list. They seal your trailer and give you a certificate that you give to customs and they will not need to open up your belongings. Has anyone done this? Who did you use? Was it worth it?
