Boat Docks

I've been looking to purchase land recently online and most of it has no roads to get to it and most descriptions say boat access only. If the land is not in a development how do you get permission to build one a boat dock? Does the government give permission or is it the local region. Also, do you build one by the foot and do they have a average price?

Hi,
Boat docks need a boat doc permit from the Department of the Environment.
In populated areas they can be difficult to get, as there are usually lots in the area.
If the area is remote like you mentioned it isnt that diffult to achieve.
Getting someone who knows the process to assist can cut a lot of red tape.
Prices per linear foot depend on many factors, including location, water depth, the soil or rock that it sits on etc.
