I am looking for updated information on the boat from Consejo to Chetumal, and can’t find anything - I remember something about a Wednesday (Weekly) trip ....
Any information - website, email, etc would be appreciated.

Thanks - Narmani

Back in the day the Wed am weekly boat trip to Chetumal was a highlight. It was a local fellow and his son in a large motor boat about 12 at a time and a 15 min ride to the wharf and then a taxi ride usually to Plaza de los Americas. 10-4 schedule. Before departure I would ask the dozy customs guy what he needed in Chetumal. This was the “ code” for duty free re entry of contraband steak and beer etc. Good times.
Except I heard the boat was no longer operating. However belizelenny would know if somebody took it over.

If nobody else on here knows then drive to the end of the Consejo rd which stops near the gate to the customs booth by the dock and ask the officer if he knows. Or any local expat. A number of them go regularly on their own boats to shop and for medical.

@5Allan1; thank you, probably the best advice. We won’t be back in country for two months yet, so hopefully I can find something out before then ... but if not, that’ll be our first stop.

Thank you!

There is a water taxi from Chetumal to San Pedro and of course a return trip.

Update:
My homies in Corozal indicate that a fellow named Gallo does the boat between Consejo and Chetumal. He was the one I went with. He had planned for his son to continue these popular runs.
The water taxi from San Pedro is not practical and a study in dramamine efficacy.
I will try to get contact info but its Belize and u might need to find him somewhere in Consejo village.
