Good evening all. I have been traveling to Corozal as part of medical team each February for the last few years, and spending some time in AC after the medical part is over. I like the country and am considering spending more time there in a few years. I researched international offshore banks in Belize quite thoroughly in fall 2019 (yes, I know about Atlantic International) and decided on Caye International. The process to set up an account was not overly difficult, but I have recently run into a "hiccup".
While funds moved into/out of Caye International require an international wire transfer, there is no SWIFT code for the bank for USD. My domestic bank here is currently looking into that. As I looked into the Euro/GBP wire info, there are SWIFT codes for those currencies, so maybe the USD info sheet is just inaccurate.
Does anyone on here use Caye International? If so, thoughts on the bank? My backup plan would be to establish an account with Belize Bank, as it has more branches, etc. At present, local access to the money is not important. I would like to establish an offshore account to move USD into and hold there for the next few years.
