Wheres the beef?

Recent visit to Hopkins area wife and I found little to complain about other than fresh protein. Although this topic title says beef, we rarely eat beef. Looking for fresh pork, chicken and fish. We only spent one week in the area but all the markets had for sale was frozen meat of poor quality. I did ask around and all the fishermen bring the days catch to market in Dangriga. We went to Dangriga one day and when we arrived mid-morning the fish was almost gone. Other than arriving at Dangriga fish market before dawn, does anyone have suggestions ?
