Good luck with your fundraising. I never have a good feeling that the money is going to where it is intended.
I have known this site to be used for very selfish purposes. I have no idea if this is legit or another scam found around donating. Personally if I can't hand the money to it's intended party I pass.
I used to be associated with the Teamsters and the funds that were suppose to go to Salvation Army made it many other hands first. Sad but true.

The owner of The Lazy Lizard is doing this. No tourists on the island. No work for his workers. With Hands of Love he is putting his staff to work and feeding people on the Caye that would otherwise go hungry. Did you even bother to watch the video on YouTube?

This is not "my fundraising." For what its worth, i vouch for his integrity. He is a good man with a big heart trying to help people who are out of work and isolated on a small island.

Personally, I think you have a lot of nerve throwing that out there with no knowledge of what you are talking about besides some past experience with the teamsters. However, you are entitled to your opinion.

Donating if you are local is a great way to see what your donation is doing. From afar it is easy to suspect foul play. You can think I am what ever you think but I seldom get taken in by those trying. I said nothing derogatory just my past experience. I am glad positive efforts are being put forth locally for you.
Do a little research and see what percentage of charity donations are for 'administrative' costs and how much goes to the intended recipients.
