Is Corozal for me?

Hey everyone! I am an American woman looking to start a new life in a new country! I was looking in the Lake Chapala region in Mexico, when Belize caught my eye.

I would like to know what your impression of Corozal is? I prefer a home vs apt. Privacy, peace, & quiet over a busy city life.
