Guide Us! Mail Services

Moving to AC in December. Have read lots of info about mail services. Most recommend services that open and scan your mail for a monthly/annual fee. Has anyone used this type of service? Are there other 'in person' mail services that you recommend? We are leaving our house unrented, and neighbors are willing to send/forward mail to us periodically. Please guide us!
TIA.

Bobbie, our agent has told us that mail is VERY iffy, and recommended a scan service. We have set up autopays on our utilities and other recurrent bills, and like the idea of always being able to access our mail (minus the junk) on our computers.
What do you think?
Thanks!

Yeah, with 2020 mail service... There are several mail forwarding services, you just have to sort through and find the features that you want. I started with US Global Mail and have since switched to Traveling Mailbox. USGM charges $3 + .50/page for scans! TM has a scan service built into the base price, so I end up spending less overall and end up with very few letters forwarded. The shipping prices are more opaque with TM than with USGM, but TM only offers USPS or FedEx, where USGM also list prices for UPS and DHL.

Good info--thanks to all. I think we will enlist my sister as 'Postmaster' and have everything forwarded to her, and she can scan any necessary docs and email to us. I trust family more than anyone else!

I just moved to Placencia. A staff member from my realtor told me 2 months in both directions, supposedly due to COVID.

Celtexan ~

Moving to Placencia to build or buy. Of course rent if building. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.
