Cost effective flights

Hi all, I am planning on coming to Belize this fall for a couple of weeks to visit and get my first feel for the place. I may be returning often until I retire in 3 years if I find I like it.

I was wondering if anyone had any tips for finding cost effective flights. I live in Chicago and it seems all round trip economy flights from here to Belize through the rest of 2021 are listed at about $700. If that's normal than I'm fine with it. I was just curious if someone had any tips in finding lower cost flights somewhere.
