Orchid bay

We are considering buying a home in Orchid bay. I am interested in the expat community there? Is there groups formed that do things like trivia night or book clubs for expats. I heard the road is rough getting there. Is there a lot of tourists that come through? Any information on shopping in Corozal - such as local fruit stands? Thanks for any information about the Orchid community and Corozal. Patty
