Hello GoGoRed, Depends on what your priorities are. I am somewhat in a similar situation. Have not sold my house yet. Here are my humble suggestions. If you are interested in the lowest personal income tax rate, it will be Bulgaria and then Czechia. If you are looking for lower cost of living and sun, it will be Portugal and Spain. Best of luck !

Hi all, My name is Matt. I am a non EU citizen and I am new here. My wife and baby daughter are both EU citizens of another country. Love Prague and looking to live here with my family. Doing my research and due diligence before applying for a residence permit in Czechia. Any and all suggestions and advice are appreciated very much.

My husband and I are ready to start the next chapter of our lives. We would like to move to Prague. His grandfather was born in Eastern Czech Republic and we have cousins there. We were last there in October 2023, and have a good idea of where we would like to live.
Our biggest problem? We are about to retire. It seems Czechia has no long-term visa classification for retirees. We would like to get a one-year visa to give us time to acclimate, take Czech lessons, and learn more about the culture before we dive into residency. We are healthy, active, and have sufficient assets to ensure we would not be a drain on the social systems. Unfortunately, the Czech officials are not impressed.
At any rate, we have sold our home, had the estate sale, and are in negotiations to sell our real estate business. Within the next six months, we are getting on a plane (with our Great Dane) and headed somewhere in the EU. If not CZ, then where?

My wife and I have traveled to many European countries and really enjoy some of the lifestyle offered by them. The Czech Republic was one of them. Karo Vary was a destination. Not stuck on Karo Vary but it was a great place to visit. not sure about living there.

So, my fiancé and I plan to move abroad for many reasons especially since America is rapidly changing, I no longer feel safe as a pansexual non-binary person. Our goal is for affordability, safety, and acceptance. We are a young, engaged couple in our 20s with no children yet, we don't want to raise our future children in America.

Czech citizen. Father died when. I was young so I did not learn the language. I have been back here with my sisters and family for a year and am planning to stay. I have a tiny home and a standard home in Canada. I am looking to build a tiny home here, well probably have someone else do it, in Czech and put in on inheritance farm land if possible.

We are retired and planning to move to Czech Republic in 2023. We had been travelling in Europe a lot. Visited Czech republic more than 10 times in the last 12-15 years. Primarily we spent time in Mariansky Lazny and Prague.

Czech rep is an amazing place to live, I was there three years ago and I enjoy every bit of my trip. A lot of outdoor activities to be done, low crime rates and accessible public transport system

I live in the Reykjavik area in Iceland where I was born and have spent most of my life although I've spent a few years living in other countries e.g. Ireland, England, France, Czech Republic and Sweden. South-America, Australia and Antarctica are the only continents I have not visited. Although I like and appreciate most countries I've been to I feel most at home in Europe and that's where my cultural roots are. Having already spent more than a year in Prague and enjoyed its stunning visual beauty the Czech Republic is at this moment (in spite of cold winters) at the top of the list of European Cities I'd like to retire to - but I haven't quite made up my mind yet - so I'm wondering if this interesting website can help me make up my mind. The last few years I've been living alone, with my friend and companion, a French Bulldog.
