There's a lot of talk about the less expensive cost of living as one reason to retire to EC., But I am curious....if EC cost the same as USA, how many would not be there?

How many there just because they are sick of the worsening politics etc. of USA? (don't get me started)

I would guess there are even some very well off expats in Cuenca, would that be a fair statement?

How many really believe that their medical care in EC is of better quality? And use that as their primary motivation?

How many folks there for other reasons entirely, like sense of adventure, or are using Cuenca as a base for extensive retirement travel....using half off--air fares? Or just for preservation of wealth? Just asking an opinion, not a count.

We have no kids, so our desire is to die one dollar overdrawn. We will be in Cuenca in November for two weeks. Thanks.
