STEP p/w problem

Anyone....

Regarding the Department of State STEP feature. I enrolled 4 or 5 years ago. Something got corrupted at my end with passwords, and in order to resume the status as an enrollee, I went through the simple and normal protocol to initiate a new password. It does not work.

It sent me an email that refers to a "link below" which does not exist. So then I tried at its web site to move through the process one would do when one is attempting to enroll. Everything was visible, but at the end of the process, after clicking to go forward, it would not enroll. I received no text stating enrollment denied; it just did not respond. Perhaps that is because I ALREADY AM ENROLLED.

I looked while inside the STEP arena for a way to communicate, but there was no way to do so without using a password.

Time to kick it upstairs ?

The alert received weeks ago that splashed over web sites of Quito and Guayaquil embassies was “reduced staff.” I am sympathetic to that, but it is foreboding even under normal circumstances to wind one's way successfully though federal bureaucracy not to mention embassies without normal staff.

Any suggestions ?
