Dog info requested:

Greetings, I anticipate relocating to Ecuador within the next 5-9 months, and have 2 dog related questions.
1. I have 3 dogs, 1 of which is a Pit Bull breed. I understand Ecuador banned this breed in 2009, and I'm trying to determine if that was ever relaxed, changed, or eliminated?
2. Am I required to ship my dogs via airline or am I permitted to enter the country with my vehicle and dogs via some border-crossing inspection/permitting process?
Respectfully,
