We are currently up to our necks with paper work in canada preparing to relicate.equador has now entered the running i would greatly appreciate and info concerning the pro's and cons of one over the other for a expat.thier seems to be a hushed crime rate in panama we are becoming aware of twards expats..we hope to live outside town where ever we decide to relocate to.we are not town or city people and live off grid..and no we are not rich expats just common everyday people looking for a peacefull quiet place to relocate to....where we can buy what is needed if needed and grow garden and few animals year round..we hope to avoid any problems caused by unwise expats in the past..we are hearing rumors of that in panama.hoing for your advice as to small safe areas in equador we would like middle range weather no snow but no tropical iether.each year i am liking winter less.and the visa types..im not quite ready to retire yet..not quite 50.
