I explored Cuenca for three months back in 2013, and enjoyed my stay. Unfortunately I had to return to the States for family reasons at the time. There was no health insurance requirement like there is now!
I’m thinking of returning to Cuenca, but not sure I can afford the health insurance.
I am a 71 year old man with no serious health conditions!
Can anyone give me a ballpark of what private health insurance would cost me - preferably from an Ecuadorean provider that I understand - maybe I’m wrong - doesn’t have age cutoffs?
I’d like to get an idea if it’s even possible for me before I start the process of emailing companies for quotes, etc.
Any info would be much appreciated!!
