My husband and I are visiting Ecuador in September, staying near Manta. We plan to retire in 2 years and are starting to explore relocation. I would enjoy Loja or Cuenca but the altitude would bother my husband. A smaller town appeals to us as long as it's near a city! He's fluent in Spanish and I'm learning.
