How furnished?

Moving next year and looking at furnished apartments for a single. When they say furnished, how furnished? Let me explain. I am a good cook and excellent baker and intend to need a full kitchen; but I am wondering if that term means more to me than to most. Please share with me what your apartment did and did not come with. I am looking more pots and pans than advanced stuff- may have to ship my cuisinart, etc..
