Small town schools?

Hi, I just joined the forum and am posting this question as a suggestion during registration… For those expats living in smaller towns, do any of you have recommendations regarding schools for middle school aged kids?

Right now I’m thinking public school for socialization and online homeschooling via our current school district (my kiddo speaks Spanish fluently).
