Canadian banking

We had horrible experiences with Scotia bank in Canada and found it verry bad to fail call center questions as they generate questions you can not possibly know. Is there other Canadians in Ecuador that have another Canadian bank that works smoothly and transfers money to Ecuador even with out a debit card? We lived in Ecuador but had to return to Canada due to bank nonsense and failing to pass generated questions we would never know. ..
