Relocating to Athens - Employment

I am moving to Athens in Feb/March (hopefully) and am looking for a job. I am an Events Manager and would prefer something within this line of work but would be happy to consider something else should it arise.

Is anyone able to help me. The greek employment network is completely different to the British system so I am lost.

A family friend used to live in Athens with her Greek husband and advised me that there are many International companies operating there and although my Greek language is that of a basic level, would be happy to employ a British person. She also mention many expat bars that used to be open in Glyfada and Kifissia.
