Retiring in Crete

Looking to leave the United States and retire in Western Crete. Want to buy an apartment in Rethymno, Chania or other areas in Northwest Crete. Any recommendations on apartments to consider? Also need an English speaking school for my teen daughter. Lastly need to purchase a car that seats 5 people. What is the best vehicle to consider?
