I am looking into staying in Roatan or Utila starting Oct 1 or close to that date, I am looking for a 1 bedroom furnished with Wi-Fi for around $650-$800 around West End for at least 1-3 months, I have tried Airbnb and other similar online rental places and I guess it might be high season would appreciate any help, I am retired on fixed income.

I can turn you on to houses for rent in http://www.escondidoresorthonduras.com/ right on the beach and gated community. In fact I am building there to retire there in the winter months. check it out!

Are you wanting to go to Roatan or would you be open to Copan.....it's beautiful up in coffee country, hot springs, cobbles stone streets, it's a world UNESCO Heritage Site....fabulous Mayan Ruins. Supposedly the Mayan elite lived in this area. I would say there are around 35 expats living there. Copan is much cheaper than Roatan, I did live on Roatan 19 years. Completely ruined in my opinion by all the cruise ships, massive expat population, just to commercial for my taste. Anyway back to your question about a rental--I know a place you can get for about $259 a month. Just throwing that out there but if want to go to Roatan I am sure once you get feet on the ground you will find something in no time!
