Commercial farming in Honduras

Hello all. Recently semi retired. My wife is from Honduras. The Omoa area. We have an old family homestead/farm up in the mountains we are thinking of getting back up and running. Typical jungle/mountainous terrain. Was great for sustenance farming but I am wondering if I can grow it into a profitable venture for a little play money. Don’t want to put in a bunch of work to break even or worse, need a job to pay for it. Apparently her father had quite the operation back in the 70s. Coffee, cocoa, plantains, and vegetables. Cardamom seems to be the talk of the town lately. Anyone have any insight? Planning to live there part time once the kids are older. We have a house in town about a mile from the main beach. Never had time to enjoy and visit while working. Thanks in advance.
