I had originally planned to take early retirement in Costa Rica in which I spent a couple of weeks. I decided eventually htat it was not the place for me. I have all the information I require about visas from the very helpful (and remarkably efficient and speedy!) Mexican Consulate here in London and feel that Puerto Vallarta, or alternatively Mazatland or the Tulum area are best suited to my hoped-for way of life and have been recommended by numerous friends.
(I had even considered buying a 40 ft motor cruiser in the US , bringing that down and purchasing a m ooring in Mx but decided being cooped up on board a cruiser might be too limiting!)
I ave spent my life in broadcasting - in Kenya, Tanzania, annd South Africa, but mainly for the BBC World Service. Although current affairs has always been my main field, I have an extensive knowledge of MOR music. Although I would not be allowed (or wish!) to take a job, but it would be satisfying to perhaps contribute something , say, once a week. Does English radio programming come only from Mexico City?
