How to get a security code or OTP

I have my pay and my social security money deposited to my U.S. bank. Naturally when I need to have it wired to me, and to do that my bank has to send on OTP (one time password) to my U.S. phone number that is costing me about 200 USD to maintain.....there has got to be a better way...My bank does not use emails to send the OTP (actually it's my credit union and I am reluctant to bail on it). I've heard of magic jack will it solve my problem?
