Husband is UK citizen living in US on Perm. Residency Card since 13, we want to move to Scotland

I want to see if anyone else has had this experience. I've checked a number of websites and our situation doesn't seem to fit the info provided.

My husband is a UK citizen however, he has been living in the US since he was 13. He has a Permanent Residence Card for the US but still has a British Passport. I am a US citizen. We want to move to Scotland.

I know most websites talk about one spouse living in the US and the other living in the UK and the US spouse being able to go there on a spouse VISA but with my partner living in the US but still being a UK citizen, I wasn't sure if it would work the same. Has anyone else been in this situation?

I know I can contact an organization but just wanted to reach out to "regular folks" first. :)
