Dears,

Is there any prefered location within Borough of Chaguanas suitable for expats with family?

Appreciate your responsive feedback.

Thanks.

Yes. Lange Park. Close to Pricesmart Plaza and 5 min access to the Highway.

There is a townhouse complex within Lange Park that is nice. It is a gated complex with a pool.

Not to many expats living in the Chaguanas area and depending on which way you are traveling to work, traffic can be absolutely horrible.

Given a choice I wouldn't live in Chaguanas at all.

Thanks a lot for your feedback,

Would you please, suggest a better and safe area to live in, also, I could not pay more than 10K for a furnished flat ...

Saying where you will be working may have a bearing on the suggestions you get.

Wouldn't the Human Resources Dept of the company have suggestions of suitable accommodation? They ought to know where the expats like to stay.

That was the HR recommendation for me "Chaguanas"...

Would you please, suggest a safer place...then I will negotiate with them.

The only place I would recommend close to Chaguanas is Lange Park. However if you will be working at Pt. Lisas you can look into a rental at Roystonia. You can get a nice stand alone house with garden space there for 7500 TT or less.

While Lange Park is a very safe and nice neighbourhood, I would adivse you to stay away because of the traffic you can encounter on a daily basis (pricesmart/priceplaza and chaguanas main road). At times there is also flood on the endeavour roads.
My adivice would be Chase Village to Couva area - always make sure that your are heading opposite to the traffic flow. Good Luck
