Moving to NZ from UK

Hi. me and my partner in our late 30s are moving to NZ as he has a child who lives there. He has residency at the moment and if he lives there for another 2 years he will gain citizenship. I have heard that once you get NZ citizenship you are able to live and work in australia? Is this correct? Any help anyone can offer would be great! Thanksyou!
