Are there any US expats here who have experience depositing their Social Security funds into this company? Have you had any issues with them? Wire transfers? Thanks!

Have you investigated using one of the major US banks which have correspondent relations with peer institutions in UY?

Prior to the 1980.s currency crises the answer would have been chase. Now, the good news is that technology has made movements of money easier, that bad news is that the old reputation based banking relationships are less common.

Go to your major American bank, talk to the branch manager to find out how quickly either a “pull” from an Uruguayan bank (on, say, the third of each month) or a “push” from the American Bank (on, say, the Second of each month) could occur and with what charges. I like using an American bank for account integration and tax issues.
But, if you want to explore direct deposit from SSA to UY, here is a longish bit of bureaucratese:

Addendum:

I looked ar Direct Express and my takeaway is that it is a service for people who lack access to traditional banks. It seems to have very limited international use, at least in UY.
I believe that the best solution is an American (or EU, etc) bank that is experienced with international transfers and services. My current prospect is Santander, which is an EU bank with presence in UY and Argentina, and which has a modest footprint in the North East states in US.
Secondly, unless you envision a change of citizenship or some similar separation from the US, there will always be emergencies that require rapid payment of services in the US. Examples: taxes, a major plumbing problem in the house you planned to have provide rental income while you are in UY, or a family member who needs emergency assistance or travel funds. For these issues a banking relationship may require 3 to 7 days. But a (relatively) high credit line on a US bank works pretty well.
