I am planning a move to Italy with my fiancé and my small dog. Truthfully, I know very little about international travel and the requirements that come with that, let alone an entire permanent move to another country. Basically, I’m wondering if there is any documentation or processes that I need for specifically bringing my dog with me for the move. In my mind, it doesn’t totally matter, but the state I live in in the US legally requires registration of my dog, and I don’t want to overlook that detail if there’s a process required to be able to keep my dog. I would appreciate any help and advice anyone can give, especially if you have done it yourself!
