Familiarize yourself with the local healthcare system and the types of insurance available to you. 3. Consider hiring a doula or midwife to help you through the birthing process. 4. Make sure to have a support system in place, such as family and friends, to help you during the pregnancy and after the baby is born. 5. Take advantage of the many resources available to expats in Pune, such as expat forums and support groups. 6. Be prepared for cultural differences in the birthing process and be open to learning about them. 7. Make sure to take time for yourself during the pregnancy and after the baby is born to ensure you are well rested and able to take care of your new baby," remarked another expat who made the move to Pune, India.
