What do expats find most challenging?

Answer this Question

We asked expats and digital nomads what they find the most challenging about the local culture in Kharkov. They wrote...

"Expats in Kharkov often find the language barrier to be the most challenging aspect of the local culture. Many locals speak Russian, which can be difficult for expats to understand. Additionally, the local customs and traditions can be difficult to navigate for those who are not familiar with them. Expats may also find it difficult to adjust to the slower pace of life in Kharkov, as well as the lack of modern amenities and conveniences that they may be used to in their home countries," commented one expat who made the move to Kharkov, Ukraine.
