What do expats find most challenging?
We asked expats and digital nomads what they find the most challenging about the local culture in Lima. They wrote...
"Expats in Lima often find the language barrier to be one of the most challenging aspects of the local culture. Additionally, the city's traffic and pollution can be overwhelming for those who are not used to it. Furthermore, the city's high cost of living can be difficult to adjust to, especially for those who are not used to the local currency. Additionally, the cultural norms and expectations can be difficult to navigate for those who are not familiar with them. Finally, the city's large size and sprawling neighborhoods can be intimidating for those who are not used to navigating such a large city," remarked another expat who made the move to Lima, Peru.
