Groceries and other everyday items are also relatively expensive, with the cost of food and other necessities being comparable to other major cities in Europe. Transportation costs are also quite high, with public transport tickets costing around €2.50 for a single journey," wrote a member who made the move to Rotterdam, The Netherlands.
