There have also been occasional reports of more serious crimes, including sexual assaults and drug offenses. Despite these issues, the local authorities in Ayia Napa take crime seriously and work hard to maintain a safe environment for residents and visitors. Tourists are advised to take standard precautions, such as not leaving belongings unattended, being aware of their surroundings, and avoiding excessive alcohol consumption," wrote a member who made the move to Ayia Napa, Cyprus.
