Is there a lot of crime in Copan Ruinas?

Answer this Question

We asked people if there is a lot of crime. They answered...

"Copan Ruinas, is generally considered a safe town with a lower crime rate compared to other parts of the country. However, like any other place, it is not entirely free from crime. Petty crimes such as pickpocketing or bag snatching can occur, particularly in crowded areas or tourist spots. Violent crime is relatively rare, but it's always important for visitors to stay vigilant and take standard safety precautions. The local police and community are actively working to maintain the safety and security of the area," remarked another expat who made the move to Copan Ruinas, Honduras.
